A finely detailed pair of mid-20th-century Persian miniature paintings on silk, executed in the traditional Persian manuscript style. One depicts a royal hunting and processional scene populated by mounted figures, attendants and animals within a stylized landscape; its companion depicts a courtly gathering surrounding an elaborate tented pavilion.
Both compositions are surrounded by exceptionally decorative illuminated borders of scrolling gold foliage and pink rosettes against a black ground. Hand-painted with exceptionally fine figural and architectural detail.
Professionally framed in Brussels by Chez Cadr'Art, Marcel Drzemala et Fils.
