A large serving platter with a hand-painted, soft blue, scalloped design that is common to the Martina Franca area of Puglia. The deisgn is most likely inspired by Italy's Liberty-movement at the turn of last century. Ceramics from Martina Franca are more refined than the robust domestic pottery of other areas of Puglia. Circa 1900s.
